Growing in Faith
Children's Sunday School
Beginning at 9:00am every Sunday morning, we gather for bible lessons, singing, crafts and friendship. We offer four age-appropriate classes, taught by adult teachers who have over 75 years of combined elementary education experience. In addition to Sunday mornings, our Sunday School team runs the summer Vacation Bible School in July. The purpose of LEC's Sunday School programs is to inform the faith of our young people by teaching them the primary stories of Scripture, instill biblical ethics and encourage a spirit of prayer in their lives.

Adult Sunday School
At 9:00am on Sunday mornings, the LEC's Adult Sunday School class meets to discuss Scripture and practical aspects of walking closely and faithfully with God. Mr. Rodney Giesenschlag is the teacher, and a video of the most recent lesson is to the right. You can find an archive of the lessons here: [link]
We hope you can join us!

Wednesday Bible Study
We gather on most Wednesday nights at 6:30pm for an hour of bible study, discussion and singing. Typically, we work our way through a biblical book, but a few times per year we have open Q&A discussions or topical studies. The purpose of our bible studies is to take God's Word deeply into our hearts and minds, so that we can be transformed and renewed into His image (see Romans 12:1-3).
Confirmation
Our church practices infant baptism, and thus, at the age of young adulthood (~11-14 years old), we ask our baptized youths to go through a process known as "confirmation". This is an educational and formational process that lasts about six months, during which one reaffirms their identity within the company of the baptized and pledges faithfulness to God.
For those who were not baptized as infants but who believe in the Triune God of grace, our church practices adult catechesis and adult baptism.
If you are interested in baptism, catechesis or confirmation, please contact Pastor Michael: pastorzmann@gmail.com
Educational Outings
LEC's outings committee organizes a trip every two or three months to a nearby site or event that deepens faith and expands one's understanding of the bible. Past trips include a visit to a local Jewish Synagogue (April 2021) and a tour of a nearby immigrant religious museum (July 2021).
